Firebug
Hands down my favorite plugin EVER for a web developer / designer to install on a Firefox. All i would say is start using it and you would be simply amazed by the power that this add-on would give you as a developer/ designer. Firebug helps you to play with your web project’s CSS, JavaScript or HTM and real time editing is made effortless.

Web Developer
Great web development plugin for Mozilla that ads a number of additional web development tools and functions to your Mozilla. You must try this one.

Greasemonkey
Allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript. Hundreds of scripts, for a wide variety of popular sites, are already available at http://userscripts.org. You can write your own scripts, too. Check out http://wiki.greasespot.net/ to get started.

Window Resizer
An amazing and very useful plugin that helps you to resize and view the webpage in different resolutions like 640×480, 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024 and 1600×1200 resolutions.

This simple plugin enables to take quick screenshots when you want to design tutorials or walkthrough  on your blogs and website.

ColorZilla
Advanced Eyedropper, Color Picker, Palette Viewer and other colorful goodies for your Firefox. This extension allows you to pick colors from the web, past the color codes, zoom, etc. This is an excellent add on every web designer / developer should have.

FireFTP
FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers.

IE Tab
this is more a testing plugin than a development or design plugin. This basically embeds the IE in the Mozilla as a tab so that your website could be previewed both in IE and Mozilla simultaneously.

MeasureIt
An excellent light weight tool that solves one of the most common issues that a web designer faces – measuring from browser. This plugin lets you to measure the height and width of web page elements right from the browser itself.

View Source Chart
Gives more clarity and structured arrangement of your nested codes and source of the web page that you are working on.

Load Time Analyzer
A detailed loading time analyzing addon that would give you the break down of the parts of your website that is eating up the time and graphically show you a report as well.

HTML Validator
A great plugin that could be an aid to your validation and bug fixing when it comes to HTML validation of your web page.
