How to find Copyright free Background Music for your YouTube Videos Legally?
Creating great content and publishing them on YouTube alone cannot guarantee you success in monetizing your videos. As per the YouTube TOS (Terms Of Service) every single part of your video should be solely owned by the channel owner, hence all content including the background music should be free from any copyright bindings.
YouTube itself provides us with a solution this problem with the help of an awesome feature called AudioSwap, You may activate AudioSwap for your YouTube account from here. Once activated you will find AudioSwap enabled for the My Videos tab on your account.
How do I use AudioSwap?
While logged-in, either click on the “Try AudioSwap” button below or go to “My Videos” and click on the AudioSwap button below each one of your videos. Then browse our library to find a song. Once you’ve selected a song, click on the “Preview” button to preview your video with the selected track. If you’re satisfied with your new video, click on the “Publish” button below to finalize its transformation. To learn more about AudioSwap, check out the Help Center.
Please Note: When you add a new soundtrack, the audio track on your video will be permanently replaced. You can replace the audio track as many times as you like; however, once it has been replaced you cannot get the previous version back. You may want to upload a few videos to experiment with.
This feature allows you to use tracks as background by allowing a hyperlink to the artist page and hence has two copyright owners, one for the video and content (you) and the other for the Background music (Artist). This helps you have a legal BG music for your video and lets you be free from any copyright related worries.
