Why Outbound links can Ruin Your Blog and How to avoid?

If you have recently observed the web spam clean up initiatives by Google by updating search algorithms several times, you can assume  the importance of having a SEO clean blog to keep up or improve your SERPs. In the recent few months, Google released the Panda update, Penguin update, EMD update and now in the process of releasing the Zebra update.

These are all SE algorithm updates that ensure unethical or undeserving websites are cleaned out from the search engine listings. From a webmaster’s point of view, to ensure that your blog is clean and not pointing or promoting or linking to unwanted areas or websites, even you will require to undergo some cleanup with the changing scenarios.

Importance of Outbound links

Its quite impossible to manually check and avoid all the links being posted on your blog through the comments unlike the links on your blog posts, hence, I would recommend to do a mass cleanup by disabling all the comment links from your comment section using a useful single plugin.

The Disable Author and Comment links plugin, once installed will disable the links added to your website’s comment section prior and after, thereby ensuring your blog’s outbound links are clean and are not pointing to any black hat or malicious websites. This will give Google and other bots an impression that at least you are not promoting or linking to un ethical low quality websites.

let me know your thoughts on the same after implementing and seeing the change. Wishing you all the luck before the Zebra is out of the Jungle!
